Transport in Naigaon

Rail – Naigaon lies between the Vasai creek and the township of Vasai-Virar on the western line of Mumbai local train network.Naigaon railway station is just a 35 minutes away from Andheri by train.Naigaon is well connected by trains and is also very close to Juchandra station on the Vasai-Diva railway line.This route is expected to be a hub of future development as it falls within the plan proposed for the Multimodal Virar-Alibaug corridor.

There is also a proposal for a railway overbridge between Vasai and Naigaon over the sopara creek. This will reduce the travel time from Vasai West to Naigaon.

Road – Naigaon is connected to the Mumbai-Ahmedabad National Highway(NH-8) by road .The highway is a 4 lane highway which connects Mumbai and Ahmedabad.Naigaon is just 38 Kilometers from Sahar International Airport by road.NH-8 is a part of the golden quadrilateral and is amongst the busiest in the country.

Virar-Alibaug Multimodal corridor

The 126 kilometer  long Virar-Alibuag Multi Modal Corridor will connect Virar, NH-8,Juchandra in Naigaon, Bhiwandi bypass, NH-3, NH-4 and NH-4B, Mumbai-Pune Expressway, NH-17, etc. Out of this 126 km corridor, 79 km long Virar (Navghar) to Chirner (JNPT) corridor is financially feasible and has already been approved by the government.

The corridor will incorporate multiple modes of transport such as buses,trains,cars etc and will provide connectivity to Mumbai metropolitan region (MMR) and is expected to bring huge developments in Naigaon.
